We can’t wait to head over to a Christmas market this weekend for some mulled wine and gingerbread. Check out our personal favorites while staying with us.
- MERCADO NAVIDENDO
The first Latin-Americano Christmas market comes to Dusseldorf and takes place at Boui Boui Bilk. On the weekend of the 15th until the 16th of December, you can discover Christmas traditions from another continent.
Boui Boui Bilk, Suitbertusstraße 149, 40223 Dusseldorf, December 15th-16th, 12am – 22pm
- MÄRCHENMARKT SCHADOWPLATZ
The Märchenmarkt shines in new splendor. With new huts, the market began a few days ago. When visiting, don’t forget to try the best poffertjes in town. Poffertjes are a traditional Dutch batter treat, similar to Pancakes. And the best ones are sold every year at the Märchenmarkt.
Schadowplatz, November 22 – December 30th, Sun-Thur 11am-8pm, Fri-Sat 11am-9pm
- ENGELCHENMARKT CARLSPLATZ
The highlight of the Christmas Market at Carlsplatz is the lighting pavillon in the middle of the place. If your are lucky and get one of the rare spaces up there, warm yourself up with a mulled wine or two and never leave this place again.
Heinrich-Heine-Platz, November 22nd – December 30th, Sun-Thur 11am-8pm, Fri-Sat 11am-9pm
- CHRISTMAS MARKET SCHLOSS BENRATH
Even though Schloss Benrath is in Dusseldorf, it still takes some time to get there. But it’s so worth it because this christmas market is definitely a special one. Drinking your mulled wine overlooking the castle moat and afterwards walking trough the garden of the castle might be our favorite thing to do on a cold December-day.
Schloss Benrath, Benrather Schlossallee, November 23rd – December 23rd, Fri 2pm-9pm, Sat 11am-9pm, Sun 11am-8pm
